DENNIS- CULVERT REPLACEMENTS ON ROUTE 6A OVER SESUIT CREEK

Proposed project would replace two existing 24" reinforced concrete pipes with new culverts that would be adequately sized hydraulically to be resilient to severe storms, reduce maintenance requirements (sediment removal), pass diadromous fish, and reduce impacts of flooding on the roadway. The culverts will likely be reconstructed with headwalls and wingwalls to mitigate the ongoing side-slope failure experienced at the site. A third culvert to the east will be evaluated, and may be repaired or replaced as needed. The roadway would be reconstructed within the project limits.
