Project Description: |
HARVARD- RESURFACING AND BOX WIDENING ON AYER ROAD, FROM ROUTE 2 TO THE AYER TOWN LINE
The proposed project limits along Ayer Road (Route 110/111) extend approximately 1.7 miles from the driveway to 198-200 Ayer Road (approximately 100 feet south of the State Highway Layout at the Route 2 / Ayer Road interchange) to the Harvard / Ayer Town Line. The project limits along Gebo Lane extend approximately 650-feet from its intersection with Ayer Road to its intersection with Lancaster County Road. The project limits along Lancaster County Road extend approximately 550-feet between Gebo Lane and Ayer Road. The multi-modal improvements are anticipated to include provision of bicycle and pedestrian accommodations, including bicycle lanes in both directions (where feasible), curbing and sidewalk on one side of Ayer Road (where feasible), and ADA/AAB-compliant curb ramps; realignment of Gebo Lane to approximately 90-degrees approaching Ayer Road and incorporation of a roundabout (if feasible) or an improved unsignalized intersection with Gebo Lane under STOP-control; closure of Lancaster County Road to vehicular traffic between Gebo Lane and Ayer Road; upgrade of storm drain infrastructure; pavement resurfacing; and new pavement markings and signs.
