Project Description: |
ASHBURNHAM- ROADWAY REHABILITATION ON ROUTE 101 SOUTH
The proposed project extends from the intersection of Corey Hill Road to the Ashburnham/Gardner Town line, approximately 2 miles. The project involves roadway reclamation with minor widening to accommodate 2-11 foot travel lanes and 1-10 foot raised pedestrian/bike facility on one side of the roadway for 2,500' and 5' wide bike lanes on both sides for the remainder of the project. Sidewalks will be reconstructed where they currently exist to 5.5 foot minimum widths or wider in the case of the shared use paths. Sidewalks will be ADA/AAB compliant. The design will provide safety improvements, including a consistent typical section and bicycle accommodations along Route 101.
