ASHBY- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT GREENVILLE ROAD (ROUTE 31) AND TURNPIKE ROAD

The project involves intersection improvements to the intersection at Greenville Road Route 31 and Turnpike Road in Ashby. The proposed improvements will likely involve milling and resurfacing, minor geometric improvements to improve visibility and channelize turning vehicles, replacing the existing flashing beacon, adding intersection warning signage and advanced "Stop Ahead" signage and update pavement markings. As part of the design, an alternatives analysis will be performed to evaluate the feasibility of various types of traffic control including a roundabout, four-way stop or a signalized intersection. The proposed improvements will reflect the recommendations from the Road Safety Audit completed for the intersection in January 2018.
