SPRINGFIELD- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, S-24-016, ARMORY STREET OVER CSX MAINLINE & S-24-026, ARMORY STREET OVER ABANDONED CSX

The project includes the complete superstructure and substructure replacement for Bridge No. S-24-016, Armory Street over New York Lines Railroad (CSX), and Bridge No. S-24-026, Armory Street over Abandoned Railroad with portions of the existing granite substructure to remain. Also included is the reconstruction and widening of Armory Street between and including the intersections at Genessee Street/Warwick Street and Taylor Street which involves the construction of pile-supported retaining walls on both sides of the street, reinforced concrete moment slabs and bridge rail on both sides of the street, a Shared Use Path, replacement of a traffic signal system at Albany Street and alterations to the traffic signal systems at Genessee Street/Warwick Street and at Taylor Street. Also included are guardrail removals and new installations, chain link fence removals and new installations, full depth pavement, moment slab sidewalks, cement concrete sidewalks, street light resettings, pavement markings, signing and establishing natural surfaces.
