STURBRIDGE- CHARLTON- OXFORD- AUBURN- INTERSTATE MAINTENANCE AND RELATED WORK ON I-90

This project consists of resurfacing I-90 in Sturbridge, Charlton, Oxford, and Auburn. The western limit is a pavement joint in Sturbridge (mile 78.3), located just west of the I-90 bridges over the I-90 ramps to/from I-84. The eastern limit is a pavement joint in Auburn (mile 88.3), located about 700 feet east of the Oxford/Auburn Town Line. The total length of this project is 10.0 miles. The limits of work include the mainline only and does not include any of the ramps within the project limits. The work to be done primarily consists of milling and resurfacing the existing mainline and bridge decks. Related work includes clearing; adjusting and rebuilding drainage structures; replacing damaged frames and grates/covers within the traveled way with locking frames and grates/covers; resetting granite curb, granite curb inlets, and granite edging; replacing hot mix asphalt berm; replacing existing substandard guardrail; and cleaning out drainage structures, drainage piping, and drainage outfalls.
