Project Description:
BOURNE- ROTARY IMPROVEMENTS
Work on this project consists of improving the traffic operations through restriping the rotary to 2 lanes and adding a channelized right turn lane from Route 28 northbound to Sandwich Road eastbound.

    Current Status: Sub-contractor has been performing ongoing proposed sloped granite edging and vertical curb installation along rotary approaches and splitter islands. Contractor has excavated down to subgrade for proposed truck apron at Sandwich Rd. approach. Backfilling and grading behind curb/edging areas with ordinary borrow and loam is currently ongoing. Existing flashing warning beacons have been removed and discarded form rotary approach splitter islands.. Scheduled work hours are Sunday through Friday, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Expect periodic lane closures and restrictions. (as of 04/04/2024)
