NORTH ADAMS- BRAYTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS (SRTS)

Installing and repairing 1000 linear feet of sidewalk will improve access connectivity safety and create the appropriate infrastructure for students walking and biking. Enhance pedestrian access and ADA compliance by striping existing and new crosswalks. Installation of new sidewalks and new grade of the public way will greatly improve the safety of students walking to school providing the appropriate infrastructure for pedestrians so they are not walking in the road with vehicles. The improvements will enhance visibility and connectivity for the students walking to and from school and accessing the amenities around the school. New sidewalks will provide access from a 100 unit low-income housing development to a park the school YMCA and adjoining neighborhoods.
