MEDFORD- READING- SOMERVILLE- STONEHAM- WINCHESTER- WOBURN- INTERSTATE PAVEMENT PRESERVATION ON I-93

Interstate Pavement Preservation on I93 from mile 20.7 to 29.2. The work under this Contract on Interstate 93 includes resurfacing of the mainline, selected bridges, selected ramps, and Salem Street Rotary from Shore Drive in Somerville to just north of the Reading/Woburn Town Line. These limits shall be fine milled to a depth of 2” and resurfaced with 2” of Superpave High RAP Surface Course. Related work includes upgrading existing guardrail within the project limits; reconstructing and constructing pedestrian curb ramps; adjusting, cleaning and rebuilding drainage structures; replacing frames, grates, and covers with lock down castings; removing and resetting granite curb, granite edging and replacing HMA berm as needed; installation of milling mulch beneath guardrail and at eroded shoulders, removing and resetting signs, median barrier repair, trimming vegetation within clear zones and site lines, replacing scored concrete pavement at gores with milled rumble strips, installing traffic counting stations, installing final pavement markings and slotted pavement markers, placing rumble strips, temporary traffic control, and other incidental items of work.
