QUINCY- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT WILLARD STREET AND RICCIUTI DRIVE
The proposed project consists of the reconstruction of the intersection of Willard Street, Ricciuti Drive, and the I-93 Southbound Exit 8 Off-Ramp in Quincy, MA. The improvements proposed as part of this project will address the existing safety concerns and improve pedestrian and bicycle accommodations. The project begins on the I-93 off-ramp and extends approximately 910 feet to the existing rotary, just east of Douglas Street. Project limits also includes approximately 100 feet west on Ricciuti Drive and 800 feet north on Willard Street. Project includes signalization of the intersection of I-93 Southbound off-ramp/Willard Street and Ricciuti Drive and improvement to the lane geometry on the Willard Street approach. This project includes pavement milling and overlay, upgraded signing and striping, five-foot-wide on-street bike lanes, ADA-compliant curb ramps, and sidewalk/driveway reconstructions as needed. A Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) is also included at the northern limit of Willard Street to increase pedestrian safety.
