Project Description:
The primary elements of the project include converting Amesbury Street into a two-way travel corridor, reconstructing traffic signal equipment at the existing signalized intersections along Amesbury Street to accommodate two-way vehicular travel and to provide accessible pedestrian traffic signal infrastructure, installing ADA/AAB compliant pedestrian facilities and curb ramps throughout the corridor, implementing access management measures for adjacent commercial driveways and resurfacing the pavement within the project limits. The project also includes upgrading the terminus of the Amesbury Street corridor at the intersection of Amesbury Street, Lawrence Street and Chestnut Street by constructing a four (4) legged roundabout.
