SOMERVILLE- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, S-17-016 (3GF), WEBSTER AVENUE OVER MBTA & BMRR

This project includes the replacement of Webster Avenue Bridge No. S-17-016 (3GF) over the MBTA & BMRR, reconstruction of each roadway approach between Prospect Street and Everett Street, exclusive of the intersections. In addition to the replacement of the bridge, Newton Street will be realigned west and east of the bridge, eliminating the skewed intersection by splitting the intersection into two “tee” intersections. Newton Street (West) will intersect Webster Avenue south of the proposed bridge and accommodate two-way traffic. Newton Street (East) of Webster Avenue will intersect with Webster Avenue north of the proposed bridge and remain one-way eastbound. The work along each section of Newton Street will be less than 500 ft in length.
