Project Description:
SHEFFIELD- SUPERSTRUCTURE REPLACEMENT, S-10-024, COUNTY ROAD OVER IRONWORKS BROOK
The work under this Contract consists of the superstructure replacement of the County Road over Ironwork Brook in the Town of Sheffield. It includes the demolition of the existing bridge superstructure, partial demolition of the bridge substructure, the construction of a new single span bridge superstructure and modifications to the existing abutments and wingwalls. The proposed bridge is comprised of hot mix asphalt overlay on a reinforced concrete deck with spread deck beams supported by reinforced concrete abutments. Work under this Contract also includes approach roadway work to the limits shown on the Plans including, but not limited to, roadway reconstruction, mill and overlay, profile adjustment, roadway embankment work, highway guardrail, and other safety elements as shown on the Plans. The project includes full roadway closure during construction with an approved detour plan.
