EVERETT- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS ON ROUTE 16

The proposed scope will include signal upgrades and/or intersection reconstruction to improve motor-vehicle safety at the intersections of Route 16 (Revere Beach Parkway) with: Everett Avenue, Boston Street, Vale Street, Vine Street, Spring Street, 2nd/Garvey Street, and Lewis Street. A complete traffic, safety, and mobility analysis will be conducted for the corridor. Multi-modal accommodations are recommended for improvement: this includes sidewalk improvements, upgrading ramps to ADA standards, and improved crossings and pedestrian signal phases. The feasibility of adding on-road or buffered bicycle accommodations throughout the corridor and any required changes to the roadway cross section needed to facilitate it will be examined.
