BRAINTREE- WEYMOUTH- RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK ON ROUTE 3

The Southern limit of the project begins at the Hingham-Weymouth town line and proceeds North for approximately 5.9 miles. The work to be carried out during the duration of this contract shall consist of 1” depth pavement fine milling, crack sealing of the milled surface, and resurfacing with a 0.75” Ultra-Thin Bonded Overlay Polymer for the Route 3 mainline, from MM 36.35 to MM 42.25, as well as crack sealing of interchange ramps. Guardrail adjustment will be done along the entire length of the project to bring current W-Beam guardrail up to NCHRP-350 compliancy as well as removing and replacing any thrie beam panels that aren’t up to compliance. Work also includes reinstallation of pavement markings/markers. Cleaning, repairing, and adjusting existing drainage structures will be included in resurfacing work done as deemed necessary by the resident engineer. All work shall be performed within, and accessed by, existing State, City, or Town roadway layouts. No rights to enter on, or occupy, private property have been acquired for this project.
