RANDOLPH- CANTON- DEDHAM- MILTON- WESTWOOD- PAVEMENT AND BRIDGE PRESERVATION ON I-95 AND I-93

The work to be done under this Contract consists of: full width pavement micomilling and resurfacing with Ultra Thin Bonded Overlay (UTBO) on Route I-93/I-95 in the Towns of Westwood, Dedham, Canton and Milton. The roadway shall be micromilled 1 inch and paved with 1 inch of UTBO Polymer Modified -in order to prevent breaking through into the penetrated stone. However, consideration should also be given, to obtaining paving cores beneath decks and discuss increasing the milling depths in these locations, together with placement of new intermediate lift as a matter of course. Bridge approaches and departures will be reviewed and re-profiled as needed to improve rideability and to provide smooth transitions. The work also includes performance bridge repairs and maintenance work to the following bridges: I-95 NB/US1/ST128 over the Neponset River and I-95 NB/SB over I-95/US1/ST128 in Canton; I-95 NB/ST128 over AMTRAK/MBTA and I-95/ ST128 over University Ave in Dedham; Ponkapoag Trail over I-93/US1 in Milton; and, I-95 NB/I-95 SB /US1 SB over the MBTA/CSX and East Street over I-95/US1/ST 128 in Westwood.
