Project Description:
WILLIAMSTOWN- ROUTE 7 ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS AT MOUNT GREYLOCK REGIONAL SCHOOL
To address access and egress concerns at this location, the District is proposing minor geometric improvements consisting of traffic island modification, changes to auxiliary turn lanes, highway resurfacing, and revised pavement markings to re-assign motor vehicle lanes and bicycle accommodation. An Intersection Collision Warning System (ICWS) will also be installed on Route 7 in advance of the school entrance. These changes are being proposed in response to operational and safety concerns by parents and school officials regarding traffic conditions at the school entrance during arrival and dismissal times.
