Project Description:
CONCORD- ASSABET RIVER MULTI-USE TRAIL AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
The work involves the construction of a shared use path and bridge over the Assabet River. The total length of the project is approximately 1,275 feet along the path alignment. The bridge carrying the path will consist of three simple spans, constructed of steel plate girders with a reinforced concrete deck. The bridge will support a sound and safety screen along the southern fascia and will have a rest area with benches for pedestrian and cyclist use. The path will vary in width from 10’-0” to 12’-0” with 2’-0” shoulders.
