ERVING- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, E-10-011, CHURCH STREET OVER KEYUP BROOK

The intent of the project is to remove the existing concrete slab and a portion of the existing concrete abutments to allow for the installation of a new, three-sided, precast concrete frame on precast concrete footings. The south abutment of the bridge will be supported on a pile cap with micropiles, while the north abutment will be supported on a concrete spread footing. The proposed bridge has an out-to-out width that will vary from 49’-6” at the south abutment to 40’-0” at the north abutment, with two (2) 10-foot travel lanes and a 4-foot shoulder on each edge of the roadway. The bridge will also include a 5’-6” wide sidewalk along the west side of the bridge for pedestrians.
