Project Description: |
OTIS- RECONSTRUCTION OF ROUTE 23, INCLUDING CULVERT REPLACEMENT, O-05-004, ROUTE 23 OVER BENTON BROOK
The existing culvert at this location (approx. MM 22.1) consists of two 4-ft diameter corrugated steel pipes which are severely deteriorated. These pipes will be removed and replaced with a new structure that meets stream crossing standards and MassDOT Complete Streets, to the maximum extent feasible.
Substantial retaining walls may need to be constructed on the highway approaches to accommodate widening.
