Project Description: |
QUINCY- SUPERSTRUCTURE REPLACEMENT, Q-01-038 (3FG), STEDMAN STREET OVER I-93/US-1/STATE ROUTE 3
The existing bridge is a 68'-11 5/8" two-span continuous structure comprised of steel rolled beams with an 8" composite deck, a reinforced concrete wall pier, and concrete gravity wall abutments and wingwalls. The proposed new bridge is anticipated to have the same overall plan geometry. Anticipated changes to the bridge geometry are higher vertical clearance, potential for wider sidewalks and new bicycle infrastructure, and potential of shallower structure depth to achieve higher clearance.
