BECKET- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, B-03-057 AND B-03-058, APPALACHIAN TRAIL OVER I-90

This project includes replacement of the bridges over the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) carrying the Appalachian Trail in Becket. The replacement bridges will provide enhanced wildlife crossing opportunities, as well as improved recreational experience, to reduce the number of vehicle-wildlife collisions and improve the vitality of the wildlife populations in the area. Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) infrastructure is also proposed as part of this project, including variable message board(s) and wildlife monitoring camera(s).
