Project Description:
BOSTON- BRIDGE PRESERVATION, B-16-236 (39P, 39U, 39W, 39Y), 4 BRIDGES CARRYING STATE ROUTE 1A (EAST BOSTON EXPRESSWAY NB/SB) AND RAMP
The project involves preserving four bridges on State Route 1A (East Boston Expressway) and its ramp in East Boston, Massachusetts. The main goal is to replace bridge joints, repair deteriorated concrete near the joints, and patch the existing exterior barriers along Route 1A northbound, the off-ramp, and relevant approaches. Additional repairs include replacing the wearing surface and waterproofing membrane, as well as deck and end diaphragm repairs over Route 1A northbound and the off-ramp.
