Project Description:
WORCESTER- LINCOLN STREET TRANSIT INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS
The goal of this project is to improve transit service reliability and user experience, ADA compliance, and provide bicycle facilities along this corridor. Three WRTA bus routes utilize this corridor and experience delay due to traffic congestion in the PM peak. Bus stop spacing and locations are not ideal and many locations lack amenities, signage, or roadway striping. Existing curb ramps along the corridor are not ADA compliant. The roadway also lacks marked crossings at several intersections and at bus stops, and does not have any bicycle facilities.
