MARBLEHEAD- RAIL TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS (BORDER TO BOSTON)

This project is to design (ONLY) a rail trail improvement, the Marblehead "Swampscott branch", for durability, improved safety, access, and comfort, including developing wayfinding signage, signature gateways at trail access points, landscape design along the trail, corridor and trailside amenities, and improving the integration of the trail into the existing road network. This includes survey and intersection and crossing design for locations where the trail crosses roads, addition of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons at the highest risk intersections if needed, and trail gateways to boost the identity and visibility of the rail trail and regional Border to Boston trail network.
