PEABODY- SCHEDULED BRIDGE MAINTENANCE REPAIRS ON P-03-036 (2VX & 2VW)

The work under this contract will consist of repairs to the bridge carrying I-95 Northbound and Southbound over the Kristen Crowley Rail Trail in Peabody. The repairs consist of replacing the existing longitudinal and transverse bridge and abutment joints, replacing the existing deck weeps, structural steel repairs, painting girders and localized painting of the floor beams and related work on the bridge structures. Specified steel bearings will be cleaned and painted and joint material will be replaced in the raised concrete median and the curbs. Highway work includes resurfacing I-95 on the bridge approaches and bridge deck, new pavement markings, removing and resetting guardrail, adjusting drainage structures, traffic control, restoring the rail trail head after the bridge repairs are completed and other incidental items of work listed in the proposal.
