Project Description:
CHARLTON- COMMERCIAL TRUCK PARKING AREA EXPANSION ON I-90 (DESIGN ONLY)
The purpose of this project is to provide several additional parking spots for commercial freight trucks at both the east and west bound service plaza on the I90/Massachusetts Turnpike. The two separate project locations approximately 3.5 miles apart. The scope of work includes clearing and grubbing and grading the additional parking area full construction of the additional parking installation granite curbing pavement markings, retaining walls and signage. Existing truck parking sections may be reconfigured to maximize available parking spaces as needed, including changes to curb line resurfacing and restriping. Additional work may include lighting. Consideration will be given to green technologies including electric vehicle charging stations.
