STONEHAM- RECONSTRUCTION ON MAIN STREET, FROM STONEHAM SQUARE TO MARBLE STREET

The project is intended to greatly improve safety at two major intersections, one of which is adjacent the an elementary school, and evaluate potential bicycle connections and pedestrian facilities on an underutilized corridor. Intersection improvements are anticipated to include an evaluation and upgrade to intersection control, revised curb layouts, pavement markings, and signage. Additional improvements along Main Street would include accessibility improvements at all roadway crossings and pedestrian curb ramps, incorporation of streetscape elements including pedestrian scale lighting and wayfinding.
