Project Description:
DISTRICT 5- ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS (SOUTHERN PROJECT)
The purpose of this project is to reconstruct and upgrade all deficient pedestrian curb ramps to full ADA compliance at three locations. The first location is in Wareham at the intersections of Route 6 & Steep Bank Rd and the intersection of Route 6 & Sandy Rd/Ladd Ave. The second location is in Sandwich at the intersection of Route 6A & Merchants Rd. The third location is in Yarmouth along Route 6A between Thacher St and Red Jacket Rd. Additional curb ramps, sidewalk, crossings and crossing enhancements, curb extensions, and pedestrian signal upgrades will be evaluated on a location by location basis.
