BOURNE- RAIL TRAIL CONSTRUCTION (PHASE 3)

The project proposes a shared-use path that is ADA compliant. The path will include paved sections as well as crossings of the Pocasset River and the inflow to Red Brook Pond. This project may utilize the existing right-of-way of the Falmouth Secondary rail line and connects to Phase 2 of the Bourne Rail Trail at Valley Bars Road and Phase 4 at Scraggy Neck Road, totaling approximately 11,200 linear feet in length. The project will identify connections to local trails and roadways. The design will evaluate and mitigate impacts to local wetlands and account for 100- year flood elevation in the design of culverts and waterway crossings.
