DISTRICT 4- ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS (CENTRAL PROJECT)
The purpose of this project is to reconstruct and upgrade all deficient pedestrian curb ramps to full ADA compliance at four locations. The first location is in Lowell at the intersection of Woburn Street and Grafton Street. The second location is in Methuen at the intersection of Route 113 (Pleasant Street) and the Route 213 Loop Connector Exit 3 on and off-ramps. The third location is in Lowell is located at the intersection of Woburn Street, Christman Avenue, and the I-495 northbound Exit 91 off-ramp as well as the I-495 northbound Exit 91 on-ramp located on Christman Avenue and the intersection of Woburn Street and Jean Avenue. The fourth location is at the intersection of Route 28 (North Main Street) and the northbound I-495 off-ramp in Andover. Additional curb ramps, sidewalk, crossings and crossing enhancements, curb extensions, and pedestrian signal upgrades will be evaluated on a location by location basis.
