Project Description:
FOXBOROUGH- WALPOLE- WRENTHAM- INSTALLATION OF CHANGEABLE MESSAGE SIGNS (CMS) ALONG ROUTE 1 NEAR GILLETTE STADIUM
The purpose of the six (6) overhead gantries with changeable message signs (CMS) will be used to improve traveler information for motorists traveling along Route 1 near Gillette Stadium. The CMS will support the use of lane use control signals to facilitate counter-flow lanes and will improve traffic operations for all stadium events, support the Massachusetts State Police (MSP) in managing event-day traffic, and enhance public safety.
