HOLLISTON- IMPROVEMENTS AT THE INTERSECTION OF ROUTE 16 (WASHINGTON STREET) AND WHITNEY STREET AND APPROACHES (DESIGN ONLY)

The Town of Holliston seeks to improve the safety, functionality, and aesthetic quality of Route 16 (Washington St.) between Locust St. and the Sherborn Town Line and will focus on the Whitney St.intersection, along with the intersections of the Holliston Rail Trail crossing and the Covanta Waste Commercial entrance. The project will address multiple challenges including congestion,pedestrian and cyclist safety, intersection and stormwater management deficiencies. The project will also improve safety by providing adequate facilities on Route 16 - Washington Street to keep commercial traffic off of local residential roads.
