BOSTON- BRIDGE MAINTENANCE OF 2 BRIDGES: B-16-050 (4T6) AND B-16-051 (4T5)

The purpose of this project is to repair the existing substructure, deck, and joints of the bridge carrying Boylston Street over the MBTA/I-90 and possibly the substructure of the bridge carrying Mass Ave over the MBTA/I-90. The substructure repairs for both bridges will be limited to the areas requiring railroad access. For substructure repairs, the track closest to the pier unit being repaired will have a nightly closure with trains diverted to the open track during working hours and reopened at the end of shift. For the deck and joint repairs, on-street parking shall be closed and nightly temporary lane closures shall take place as necessary. The tracks and travel lanes below the deck and joint repair areas will be closed during repair. Noise control and monitoring will be required. Coordination with nearby projects will take place for any possible traffic set ups.
