Project Description:
AMHERST- SOUTH HADLEY- RECONSTRUCTION & RELATED WORK ON ROUTE 116 (WEST STREET)
This project on Route 116 begins at a point 831 feet south of the Amherst/Granby/South Hadley Town Line and extends to a point 525 feet north of Country Corners Road, for a project length of approximately 1.20 miles. This roadway section has been a concern due to the steep slope and curvy terrain of the current alignment. This project will improve the roadway alignment, will include two new left-turning lanes, and provide shoulders and a complete drainage system.
