NEW BEDFORD- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS ON ACUSHNET AVENUE AT PECKHAM ROAD/SASSAQUIN AVENUE
Proposed improvements at the intersection are anticipated to include ADA compliant curb ramps, box widening along Peckham Road, mill/overlay along all four approaches, traffic signal installation, new pavement markings and signs.

    Current Status: • Preliminary Punch List was sent to Contractor on 6/25/25. • Traffic Signal Inspection was done for 6/25/25. Signal Punch List from District 5 Traffic was received and forwarded to contractor on 7/16/25. Confirmation about Punch List completion received on 12/11/25. Second Traffic Signal Inspection was done 1/7/26. Interoffice Memo from Traffic received on 1/9/25. Ancillary Structures inspection was requested on 1/7/26. • Catch basin cleaning was done on 11/5/25. • The final inspection was done on 7/22/25. A Punch List was sent to the contractor on 7/28/25. Contractor finished the Punch List on 11/5/25. • District Materials Certification was received on 2/6/26. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (as of 02/12/2026)
